MeasureCAD is a web-based tool for quick and accurate measurement of lengths, areas, and counts from PDF drawings, images, or photographs. It is designed for both construction professionals and estimators, as well as anyone who needs to measure anything for free, with no limit on the number of measurements or hidden fees. In the future, the application will also offer paid advanced automation features based on our own research, but all existing classic tools will remain free of charge.
Instant Accessibility
The app requires no installation or registration and works directly in your browser on desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. All core features are free to use without any limits.
Local Data Processing
Your files are processed locally inside your web browser. Drawings and project data are never uploaded to external servers, ensuring absolute security for your sensitive project documentation.
Classic & Professional Tools
The app features classic tools for counting objects and measuring lengths, areas, and perimeters. Advanced, high-speed tools designed for professional users are coming in the near future.
Vector-Based Precision
Lines in vector PDFs remain perfectly sharp when zooming in. Maximum measurement precision is supported by smart snapping to points and the ability to restrict line angles.
Dynamic Calibration
Calibrate your drawing in just two clicks. If you change or correct the scale later, the app instantly recalculates all existing measurements on that page.
Metric & Imperial Units
Easily switch between metric and imperial systems within the app, including displaying feet and inches in standard fractional formats.
Takeoff Table
This interactive spreadsheet allows you to organize measurements into hierarchies, group them, perform custom formula calculations, and estimate costs. The system automatically deduces the output unit based on your formula.
Expert R&D
Unlike tools rushed out by AI agents, our software is built by humans from the ground up. Our development is backed by academic research and decades of experience, ensuring a thoughtful and stable architecture.
Computer-Assisted Takeoff
We are developing innovative new tools driven by our in-house research and development to significantly streamline routine tasks and boost takeoff efficiency for professionals.
Our Vision
Our goal is to provide users with an easy-to-use yet effective tool that facilitates taking measurements from drawings of various types. MeasureCAD v0.9 is just the beginning − we view version v0.9 as a foundation for future research and development. In the upcoming updates of MeasureCAD, starting with version MeasureCAD v1.0, we will introduce advanced measuring and visualization tools that will make taking measurements even easier.
